Suzuki RG250 White and Yellow This is the Aoshima version of the Suzuki RG250, with a white and yellow paint scheme. Some things about this kit: - the kit has working suspension, which is unusual for a 1:12 scale model. However, there is so much flex in the front forks that you have to hold the front wheel in place when you press down on the steering head. - the rear suspension tends to collapse, a different spring would probably work - the white sections, including the narrow stripes, come as large decals. These were not used. Instead, the body parts were painted white, these sections were masked off and the yellow airbrushed. The small stripes were then trimmed from the decal sheet and applied. - the kit has rubber/vinyl seats, handgrips and molded cables. These are tricky to use because very few adhesives work on this material. Gel superglue tended to work pretty well. Also, the seat did not fit well and additional material was added to the rear of the gas tank to avoid a gap. - Aoshima supplies screws to attach the wheels, swingarm and front forks. The heads on these screws are about 3 mm in diameter, much larger than the Tamiya screws. They were all countersunk and then covered with a Meng bolt head or circular cover - the wheels were painted yellow instead of black, which I thought looked better, although not true to the real motorcycle Base Kit(s): Aoshima Suzuki RG250 Walter Wolf (kit number 062319) Finished: Nov 2022 Modifications/Additions: - see above description - Paint is Tamiya TS26 pure white, TS16 yellow, all decanted and airbrushed, Tamiya LP gloss aluminum on the frame and swingarm and Spaz Stix mirror chrome over Testors gloss blank enamel, for the mufflers Click on Thumbnail to see detailed image.
