| Sting Ray III concept car This model will eventually become part of a collection of concept cars. It was also built to compete in the 2023 'Topless' theme at the Toronto Model Car Contest. The model is a full detail kit from Revell and depicts the 1992 concept car from the Corvette division of Chevrolet. The car had four wheel steering, a pop-up rollover bar, a 300 hp LT-1 V-8 engine and a very aerodynamic body design with a flip up front end Base Kit(s): Revell Sting Ray III (kit number 7346) Finished: July 2023 Modifications/Additions: - poseable steering added, with Meng detail bolt heads - opened up numerous vents (front fascia, rear fascia under bumper and side vents) and added mesh screen - flocking on floor panels - headlight, taillight and marker light buckets were treated with Molotow chrome - seat belts and seat belt catches added - custom printed license plate - interior paint is Tamiya acrylic insignia white with a bit of black and X-22 (gloss clear) added and semi-gloss black - body is Testors metalflake purple from the can, followed by Testors enamel purple bottle, thinned and airbrushed.
