Shelby Cobra 427
I always liked the lines of the original Shelby.  This model was built out of the box from the recent Revell release.  On the model kit,
there is a rectangular 'box' surrounding the carburetor that is very thick.  On the real car, this is a sheet metal piece so I thinned it
down using a Dremel tool after stripping the chrome off.

Base Kit(s):   Revell-Monogram Shelby Cobra 427  (kit number 85-2828)

Finished:        Aug 2009

Modifications/Additions:
- built out of the box
- paint on frame and most other parts is Tamiya semi-gloss black, airbrushed
- Alclad steel and aluminum used on other parts (wheels, exhaust pipes, radiator)
- black wash used on wheels and engine
- custom made license plate
- paint is Bob's blue with a very nice metallic depth, airbrushed, followed by Testor's clear, polished and waxed.  Stripes are
Tamiya lacqur white, straight from the can.
