This was the number 1 car for 1978 race and was 2nd on the pole but did not finish the race due to engine failure. This model was built pretty much out of the box. Base Kit(s): Tamiya 1/24 scale Renault Alpine A442B turbo (kit number 24011) Finished: Apr 2021 Modifications/Additions: - Aftermarket seatbelts - Opened up main scoop - Decals are from Pattos Place and the large black decals have some wrinkles in them - Aftermarket decals for the instrument panel - Paint is Testors acryl chrome yellow sprayed through an airbrush, followed by Testors semi-gloss acryl clear and then some light weathering Click on Thumbnail to see detailed image.
