Harley-Davidson Chopper (1:8 scale)
I’ve always wanted to build a customized chopper with a stretched out, bobbed frame.  The resulting model took a long time to
build due to the frame construction.

Base Kit(s):        Revell 1/8 scale H-1240 L.A. Street Chopper (1971)

Completed:        sometime in 1984

Modifications/Additions:
Molded gas tank into frame
Added flat and curved panels to frame and molded to blend seams
Molded rear fender into frame
Scratchbuilt oil tank and covered in chrome foil
Added electrical, brake and throttle cables using chrome covered thread
Added various nuts and bolt head details
Scratchbuilt seat and covered in fuzzy blue adhesive backed material
Added removable ignition key
Added 1978 Ontario license plate
Painted using Testors white pearl base, blue candy and clear gloss to give scale metal flake effect
