Ferrari F189 Formula One race car Hasegawa did a series of 1:24 scale open wheel race cars in the early 1990's. I purchased this one partially built at a model show in 2014. The Ferrari's from the late 1980's and early 1990's are some of my favourite cars. The kit is pretty much out of the box and built as a curbside. If you do build this kit, there are a few things to look out for: - the wheels are supposed to slip into a soft polycap that sits inside the wheel uprights. However, the fit is extremely tight and the caps are not flexible at all. I ended up disassembling the uprights and removing the caps in order to get the wheels to mount. I'll be aware of this with other Hasegawa kits. - as with all Hasegawa kits, the decals are very prone to turning yellow. Luckily, the kit I purchased had a set of decals from the Protar kit of the same car. These decals were much better and were used almost entirely on this model. - make sure that the two side plated on the nose are glued as close together as you can get them. Otherwise, when the top piece is put on there will be a bit of the side plate sticking out. This made it difficult to get the nose to assemble properly.
